Past Projects
This portfolio of custom framing jobs we’ve done is designed to show outstanding pieces we’ve had the privilege to frame as well as prime examples of more typical work that comes through the shop. It’s hoped that seeing these past projects will help you find inspiration for framing your own pictures. We’ve included a range of approaches as well as types of artwork, and notes on frame design which we hope will be helpful as you consider how to frame your own pictures. Some of these pieces are still available in our gallery, while others are projects for clients and are not for sale.

Biological Survey of the Territories
A double mat with warm neutrals blends with the paper color while bringing out the orange accents of this virus illustration book plate as the antiqued rounded frame with English Brown Oak stain harmonizes with its sepia tones.

Egyptian Papyrus Print
This antiqued rounded frame has a color that is the mixture of the grays, reds and oranges of the image and a bottom rail carving that feels like Ancient Egypt.

Linda Victoria, “Fiesta Grande”
This rounded frame with charcoal gray stain was gently sanded to allow the wood tone underneath to peek through, giving it a warm, well worn feeling.
