This huge mirror needed a new frame, and my client picked a classic wide cassetta frame. Traditionally it’s black paint over red or terra cotta with the black rubbed through to show some red (like my Antique Dutch Black frames), but this guy was only traditional up to a point. He loves unconventional color choices so he asked me to make the undercoat from my teal milk paint, so teal is what peeks through the corners and ridges. I can assure him and you, there’s no other frame like it in the world!
