“Red Shirt” is a small wood cut print by Joe Marshall mounted to a thin panel. It swims in a generous bottom weighted mat with a red painted bevel. The frame is a vintage Baroque shape with an antique Dutch Black finish. The shellacked and polished black casein surface is broken through on some raised edges to reveal the terra cotta base coat and the light distressing of the basswood frame creating a hand rubbed finish that implies a long history.
